Muscle & strength

Muscle & strength covers 2 compounds on WikiPep: Tesamorelin and CJC-1295 / Ipamorelin. Across them, 7 of the 14 uses listed here have been studied in human trials of that compound.

Both prompt the body to release its own growth hormone rather than replacing it. Tesamorelin is FDA-approved, as Egrifta, to reduce belly fat in HIV-related lipodystrophy. CJC-1295 and ipamorelin are not approved, FDA advisers voted against adding either to the compounding list, and the human data for CJC-1295 is on its long-acting DAC form, not the short-acting form in the blend.

Growth hormone and body composition. Every use below carries an evidence label, so you can see what has been studied in people and what has not.

Each one, in plain words

  • Tesamorelin: Tesamorelin is a daily injection that signals the body to release its own growth hormone. It is FDA-approved as Egrifta, only for extra belly fat in adults with HIV.
  • CJC-1295 / Ipamorelin: CJC-1295 / Ipamorelin is a blend of two peptides that signal the body to release its own growth hormone. Neither is FDA-approved, and no trial has tested the blend itself.
