Five short steps. By the end you’ll know what people mean by “peptides”, how they’re used, what the risks are, and how to read any compound page on this site.

I’ll walk you through it. Nothing here assumes you’ve read anything else. Any word with a dotted underline opens a short definition, so you never have to go and look something up elsewhere.

The five steps

1

What a peptide is

A short chain of amino acids, the same building blocks as protein. Many act as messengers: your body already makes some of them, and the ones people look into are either copies of those or lab-made variations. They are sold as research peptides. More: what are peptides? →

2

What people look into them for

The big groups on this site: weight management (the GLP-1 family), recovery and healing, skin and hair, focus, longevity and energy. Each compound page lists the benefits people look into it for, with a label saying whether that’s backed by a human study, animal research, or user reports only. Choosing for your goals →

3

How they’re used

All arrive as a dry powder in a vial. It gets mixed with bacteriostatic water, then measured in units on a small insulin syringe and injected just under the skin. Doses usually start low and step up every few weeks; in the GLP-1 drug trials it was every four. The calculator picks a water amount so every dose lands on an easy syringe mark.

4

Staying safe

Every compound page has a side-effects section: common side effects, rare ones, who should avoid it, and when to stop and get medical help. It is the part to read first. Safety considerations → None of this is medical advice; talk to a doctor who knows your history.

5

Choosing a supplier

The signals that matter are batch-specific lab reports (a certificate of analysis, or COA) from a lab independent of the seller, clear labeling of what’s in the vial, and testing history anyone can check. PepSelect is our trusted peptide supplier.
