Focus

Focus covers 2 compounds on WikiPep: Semax and Selank. Across them, 5 of the 12 uses listed here have been studied in human trials of that compound.

Both were developed in Russia and are used there as nasal drops; neither is approved in the US. Their human evidence is small Russian trials, and the dosage guidelines here describe injections, a different route. In July 2026 FDA advisers recommended Semax for the compounding list, a non-binding vote; Selank was not part of that review.

Cognition and mood. Every use below carries an evidence label, so you can see what has been studied in people and what has not.

Each one, in plain words

  • Semax: Semax is a lab-made peptide from Russia that people look into for focus and mental clarity. In Russia it is prescribed as nose drops after a stroke.
  • Selank: Selank is a lab-made peptide from Russia, studied as a calming nasal spray that does not cause drowsiness. In Russia it is a prescription spray for anxiety and nervous exhaustion.
